Galleon Systems NTP Server NTS-4000 is a 1U high rackmount dedicated stratum 1 NTP time server. It utilises either the MSF radio time signal broadcast from Rugby (UK) or the DCF radio time signal broadcast from Frankfurt (Germany) as an accurace time reference. It then provides accurate time directly to your LAN/WAN. The device can accuratly synchronise time on most operating systems, including Windows, UNIX, LINUX, Novell and network equipment such as CISCO routers.

The NTS-4000 series is also available as a GPS NTP Server with an integrated GPS receiver.

Product Overview

Galleon Systems NTP Server NTS-4000 is a 1U high, rackmount stratum 1 Radio NTP Server. It is supplied with a high-gain radio receiver that constantly monitors either the MSF, WWVB or DCF radio time broadcasts transmissions to provide a highly accurate timing reference. The device then provides an accurate time reference directly to your LAN/WAN with an ethernet NTP output dispersion of less than 1.4 milliseconds.

It utilises an unmodified version of the latest network time protocol distribution, NTP Version 4.

The unit is a rugged, low-power device, consuming typically less than 12 watts. The low power consumption allows the unit to be convection cooled requiring no moving parts, aiding long term reliability. Our confidence in the reliability of the NTS-4000 is reflected in the provision of a 3 year warranty.

A password-protected web interface is provided for system configuration and management.

The NTS-4000 series is also available as a MSF/DCF radio based NTP Server and a GPS NTP Server and a dual reference NTP Time Server.

Radio Time Broadcasts

The NTS-4000 is available with MSF, WWVB or DCF radio antennas. The MSF time signal is broadcast from Rugby, central UK, throughout the British Isles and North-Western Europe. The DCF signal is broadcast from Frankfurt, Germany, and available throughout central and western Europe. The TS-700-MSF weatherproof antenna supplied can be wall-mounted, outdoors if required, up to 100m from the NTP server with CAT5 or better structured cabling.
